Privacy and Scope of Practice

“As a Health and Wellness coach, I acknowledge and agree to honor my ethical and legal obligations to my coaching clients and sponsors, colleagues, and to the public at large. I pledge to comply with the NBHWC Code of Ethics and to practice these standards with those whom I coach, teach, mentor or supervise.” NBHWC

Coaching vs. Behavioral Therapy

Coaching and therapy are synergistic and different types of interventions, although there can be overlaps in tools and skills used by each. Coaches help clients who are not experiencing serious mental distress, in building a better future. Coaches use positive psychology tools to deliver solution focused guidance. I am working on a certification from the NBHWC. Therapists are licensed professionals.

How many sessions do I need?

I strive to help and guide you towards lasting personal and professional growth. The focus is to create actionable strategies for achieving your goals. We will start with 30-60 minute sessions and then transition to follow-up accountability check-ins. The emphasis is on action, accountability, and follow-through.

What if I don’t know what goal to choose?

There are several tools we can use to narrow down a focus for your coaching sessions. Choosing goals that align with your personal values are important for your motivation to change.
